Trimble Tech High School Health Science Program

Overview

Located in Fort Worth, TX, Trimble Technical High School’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) program offers a unique blend of traditional high school experiences and specialized Career and Technical Education (CTE) training. Recognized as one of Fort Worth ISD’s prestigious Gold Seal Schools of Choice, the school provides 18 distinct pathways designed to prepare students for post-secondary education and career success.

Trimble Tech ensures students receive a well-rounded education by seamlessly combining rigorous academics with athletics, extracurricular activities and hands-on technical training. Every student benefits from a purpose-driven environment that prioritizes both personal and professional growth, equipping them with the skills and certifications needed to thrive in their chosen fields after graduation.

At the core of Trimble Tech’s offerings is the flagship Health Science program, providing comprehensive training in healthcare professions. Students gain foundational knowledge in anatomy, medical terminology and other key areas while mastering advanced skills like phlebotomy and patient care. By the junior year, students begin clinical rotations and internships at notable local hospitals like Texas Health Harris Methodist, JPS Hospital, and Cook Children’s. With its strategic location in Fort Worth’s Medical District, the program allows students to seamlessly transition from classrooms and simulation labs to professional healthcare environments. The Health Science Program, is one of the oldest and largest programs in Fort Worth ISD and comprising 20% of enrolled students at Trimble Tech. 

Trimble Tech’s success lies in its strong community partnerships with institutions like the Burnett School of Medicine at TCU, alongside local businesses and medical facilities. These collaborations provide mentorship, career guidance and real-world learning opportunities, empowering students with the tools needed to become leaders in their industries. Programs such as HOSA–Future Health Professionals competitions further enhance students’ career horizons, sharpening practical skills and fostering professional confidence.

Whether pursuing certifications in welding, fashion design, automotive technology, or health sciences, Trimble Tech High School offers an unmatched educational experience that balances academics, athletics and specialized training. Supported by a dedicated alumni network and skilled faculty, students graduate with professional credentials, cutting-edge expertise, and a clear path to future success.

  • Partnerships with local healthcare providers such as Texas Health Harris Methodist and Cook Children’s, as well as proximity to the Medical District, give students unique opportunities for mentorship and exposure to professional environments. These partnerships also lead to job offers and paid positions before graduation.
  • More than 3,500 health science students have completed a substantial amount of work-based experience in the clinical setting, many students have also gone on to attain employment at Texas Health Hospitals, JPS Hospital, Baylor Scott & White Hospital, Cook Children’s Medical Center, and other healthcare organizations after graduating high school.
  • Former students frequently return to mentor current ones, creating a cycle of success and community engagement.
